Massachusetts-based Sublime Systems, a developer of technology that eliminates CO2 emissions from cement, is among 100 early-stage companies named to the World Economic Forum 2023 Technology Pioneer cohort.
Part of the Innovator Communities within the WEF Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the Technology Pioneer community serves as a networking venue for startups approaching growth stage and intellectual property commercialization. Candidates are privately held and earn membership based on five levers:
- Innovation. Bringing technology to market with an effective business model.
- Impact. Exhibiting the potential to make long-term impacts.
- Leadership. Demonstrating an ability to drive business success while contributing time and expertise to the Forum.
- Growth stage. Less than 10 years since company inception.
- Funding. Solid backing in Series A or start-up phase funding.
On the latter point, Sublime Systems will deploy capital raised earlier this year to build a commercial-scale line for a cementitious material produced through electrolysis at temperatures far below those of portland cement.
